What I… Charlene from Pretty Please Charlie

One of the perks of being a blogger is getting to meet a reader, initially a perfect stranger, who then becomes a friend! I first met Charlene when she won a competition on my blog to attend an event with me.

Since then her own beauty blog, Pretty Please Charlie, has grown in leaps and bounds and last week I bumped into her again at another product launch!

A few days later I asked her to take part in my blogger interview series so now you can read on to find out more about Charlene!

What I…

You cannot exist without love. Love is all around us and we just need to open our hearts to see it. Things always work out the way they are supposed to. Never give up on your dreams. They have ways of coming true. Patience is a virtue. I know that having a child in your life is the biggest blessing in the world. I also know that raising a child is the toughest job in the world.

God. My husband, my little girl, my family and my friends. Without them my life would be empty. Dancing with my husband. Drinking wine with my best friends. Cherry blossoms, grey skies, tattoos, tribal and gothic belly dancing, black & white photography, chocolate, our dogs, laughter, Paris, watching TV, fancy dress parties, trying new skincare and make-up products and sharing my thoughts on my blog.

Beauty blogs and my little girl’s fairytales. And loads and loads of e-mails.

To figure out what I really want to do with my life. To start dancing again. To be fit again; and to fit into my old jeans! A trip to Paris with my husband and little girl. And I want people to be kinder. Kinder to one another and kinder to animals and the environment. And I want to drive a lap around the Top Gear track.

If I like it, I wear it. I love accessories.

To be a good role model for my little girl. I want her to grow up to be a strong, self-assured and independent woman. To find my old confident self again. Not to be so hard on myself. To hear and say the words ‘I love you’ every day. To laugh. And I NEED chocolate at least once a week.

Thanks for taking part Charlene aka @MsCharlieW. I love using the “What I…” series as a platform to share the beautiful blogs I come across while at the same time encouraging and promoting my fellow bloggers – so feel free to send me any suggestions or submissions for blogs you’d like to see featured!

Kathryn Rossiter

Kathryn is a South African lifestyle blogger and mom of 2 who has been blogging daily for over 9 years! She writes about travel, health, beauty, fashion, decor and family... but not food (unless it's food she's eaten made by someone else) as she is a hopeless cook. She only wakes up early for 2 things... a red-eye flight to somewhere exotic and early morning game drives. She has just finished an extensive home renovation and would prefer to never see another box again. She's never met a chocolate or glass of bubbles that she didn't like!
