There’s no other makeup product that gives me quite a lift like a new lipstick…
I adore adorning myself with a bright pop of colour – if I’m in a great mood it makes me feel even better, and if I’m feeling low the colour has a way of elevating my mood and helping me face the day!
One range of lipsticks I’ve been loving lately is from Bodyography – an American beauty brand started by South Africans in LA.
There are 5 gorgeous matte colours in the range known as Kiss to the Classics, from pretty pale pinky nude through to bright neon pink, gorgeous coral and a deep classic red.
The concept behind the name of the collection is that each lipstick colour has been specifically selected to reflect the personality of one of the most iconic female characters in classic English literature.
As a lover of the Classics I love this idea!
The five fearless women of classic fiction novels that the lipsticks are named after include Elizabeth, Lolita, Anna, Jane & Jo. Can you remember which character is from which book?
As a reminder…
- Elizabeth from Pride & Prejudice
- Lolita from Lolita
- Anna from Anna Karenina
- Jane from Jane Eyre
- Jo from Little Women
You can see which of the colours have been assigned to which character! Do you agree??
The lipsticks are satin matte in texture and they are packed with pigment that goes the distance (even my mother-in-law commented that my lipstick had staying power when my wine glass came out the dishwasher still wearing it!!)
They are comfortable and hydrating on the lips as they contain moisturizing Aloe Vera to help protect the lips from signs of aging and are infused with Vitamin E, Coconut & Grape Seed Oil.
These lipsticks offer amazing colour payoff while being super comfortable to wear. The good news is that you are sure to make a statement while wearing any of these shades!
An added bonus when buying Bodyography is that this is a beauty brand with a conscience. Bodyography products use minimal packaging that is recyclable. No animals have ever been used to test Bodyography products making this a cruelty-free brand endorsed by PETA.
Which colour, and character, appeals to you the most? Tell me in the comments below…
