Blogs Bloggers Read: Maz from Caffeine and Fairydust

At the start of January I launched a new series for my blog which I have been dreaming about for months…. it’s called Blogs Bloggers Read and the idea behind it is to answer the question I’ve often asked: what blogs do other bloggers read

All bloggers start out as blog readers… FACT. Problem is along the way our very long list of blogs dwindles down to just a handful once we start blogging ourselves… and sometimes we even forget what inspired us in the first place and stop reading other blogs just to lack of time. So sad. Anyway I wanted to find out where other bloggers spend their limited time online – is it to make them laugh, inspire them visually, encourage them spiritually or “connect” with a person they’ve been following online for year?

So I’ve asked some of my favourite South African bloggers to share their favourite blogs – local or international – which they read on a regular basis.

Today it’s the turn of Maz who writes over at Caffeine and Fairydust

What a brilliant idea! Thank you so much for wanting to include me ♥

Scary Mommy

Scary Mommy
Scary Mommy in an incredibly popular U.S blog that I found years ago when expecting my first child. I love the site because the writers tell it as it is – “A parenting community for imperfect parents”. It is funny and really entertaining! I have also had the honor of being featured on Scary Mommy – which pretty much blew my mind.

XO Sarah
XO Sarah
This is such an awesome blog for tips on how to grow your own blog/online business etc. Sarah has some super helpful articles on growing your audience, how to make your blog look great and so much more. I am signed up to her mailer and I check in daily!

3 Kids 2 Dogs & 1 Old House
Cindy, the author, is pretty much the reason I started blogging if I have to be honest. I met Cindy when I took part in her I’m A Mom With Tattoos series, before I even knew what blogging was! I love her blog because it is so real. I have also grown quite fond of Cindy as a person and I love the way she writes. I read pretty much everything she posts – She is hilarious!

The Pretty Blog
 The Pretty Blog
I just love looking at all the pretty things! The website is aesthetically pleasing with amazing photography – it is just such a joy to look at.

Glitz & Grammar

What can I even say. This is the best blog in the universe, ever. Anja is literally the funniest person I have ever met! I just LOVE all of her articles, they always make me laugh. She uses the best GIFS ever and her blog is so stylishly put together.

Renegade Mothering

Another one of my absolute favourites! I found this blog through a friend on Twitter and I have been hooked ever since! I can relate to this woman so much. She is such a potty-mouth, but absolutely hilarious.

The Blessed Barreness

Another blogger I adore is Sharon from the Blessed Barreness. I can’t quite pinpoint what it is that I love about her blog so much… Yes, I can relate to the parenting aspect of it, but it is really her raw posts about infertility, miscarriage and adoption that I am drawn to – even though I cannot to relate to any of them. She writes so well, you can feel her emotion on the other side of the screen, and it is beautiful. I love the look of her blog, designed by the amazing Charlie Foxtrot – it is so clean and easy to navigate, makes my OCD senses tingle with happiness!

Thanks so much Maz for sharing your favourite daily blog reads here. We share a few of the same ones!!

Kathryn Rossiter

Kathryn is a South African lifestyle blogger and mom of 2 who has been blogging daily for over 9 years! She writes about travel, health, beauty, fashion, decor and family... but not food (unless it's food she's eaten made by someone else) as she is a hopeless cook. She only wakes up early for 2 things... a red-eye flight to somewhere exotic and early morning game drives. She has just finished an extensive home renovation and would prefer to never see another box again. She's never met a chocolate or glass of bubbles that she didn't like!

  1. YAY so glad you girls are enjoying it! I really am too. Let me know if you’d like to take part too Megan 😉

  3. Such a great post – and I’m off to check out XO Sarah as I type! It’s always so lovely to find out what other bloggers read, and to come across new blogs as a result!
