Blogs Bloggers Read: Candice-Lee from In My Bag

Candice-Lee writes one of the best fashion and beauty blogs I know called In My Bag, which is why I’m thrilled to have her share her list of best blogs today!

Without further ado… here are a few of Candice-Lee’s favourites…

I love Leandra’s quirky style and fantastic writing skills. She brings a very unique voice to fashion and really makes me think about what is considered to be stylish.

I’ve been following Ella’s journey for about two years now. Even though I’m not vegan (although, one day soon I hope to be), I love her recipes and find them easy to make.

A Gorgeous Life

One of my favourite local blogs that I’ve been following almost from its inception – perfect for reading (honest) reviews on restaurants and hotels. Candice also makes stunning vegan recipes (her vegan brownies are the BEST I’ve ever tried).

My Life in Pink

I think Emma Jane is arguably the best fashion blogger in South Africa – even though she spends a lot of time modelling abroad. I adore her aesthetic and unique, edgy style. Her styling is spot on and her pictures (her man is a photographer) are incredible.

For the Beauty Of It

My favourite local beauty blog. I love the honesty and integrity that Chereen brings to all her posts, whether beauty or lifestyle. Her images are so beautiful and because she has a background in journalism, her posts are always beautifully written and well researched.

In my next life, I want to be Blair Eadie, or rather, I want a closet full of clothing like Blair’s. I adore her style and and the way she puts her looks together.

Dawn brings a unique angle to travel writing that I really enjoy. She also a passionate eco activist and really great writer.

What a great selection. Thanks so much for sharing Candice!

Kathryn Rossiter

Kathryn is a South African lifestyle blogger and mom of 2 who has been blogging daily for almost 7 years! She writes about travel, health, beauty, fashion, decor and family... but not food (unless it's food she's eaten made by someone else) as she is a hopeless cook. She only wakes up early for 2 things... a red-eye flight to somewhere exotic and early morning game drives. She has just finished an extensive home renovation and would prefer to never see another box again. She's never met a chocolate or glass of bubbles that she didn't like!

  1. Every Friday, I enjoy getting to that section of your newsletter that highlights Blogs Bloggers Read. It opens up the range of blogs to look into. Kinda mostly along the lines of my work, which is also what I love doing. Plus these are recommended blogs to visit. so glad you started this. Ta Rose

    1. Aaaah yay Rose. So glad to hear it’s becoming one of your favourite series. It certainly is mine! Loving discovering new blogs to follow and glad I can inspire you too! Thanks for the comment 😉

  2. I absolutely love reading these posts as I find it fascinating to see which blogs my fellow bloggers reader (I always come away with a new find… or three!), so I was SO pleasantly surprised to find my blog on Candice’s list of blogs she enjoys reading! Totally made my day – thank you, Candice! And thank you, Kathryn, for an inspiring, fresh read every week!

    1. Hey Chereen! Thank so much for the comment. Glad you’re enjoying the series… and your mention is so well deserved. Your blog is looking amazing!! Well done.

  3. I always read these posts in my email and never come and comment on how great they are. I’ve since discovered a few blogs that immediately replaced my top “go-to” blogs that I visit most often.
Looking forward to more and more and more and more 🙂

  4. That’s so great to hear Marne. Thanks for letting me know! Appreciate all the comments I can get 😉
