Blogs Bloggers Read: Bailey from Vanilla Blonde

I used to be a voracious reader of blogs. Since the early 2000’s when I stared my first (rather dull desk-bound) job, I’ve loved reading blogs of all kinds… and to see the blogging world grow and flourish and become what it is today is amazing.

Obviously along the way I jumped on board and started this here blog, but unfortunately what that has meant is I really don’t have that much time to READ blogs anymore… Boo!

But that’s why I’ve started this little series… Blog Bloggers Read… I want to find out which blogs other bloggers love so I can start to spend some time soaking up the inspiration I once did!

Today I’ve asked Bailey from Vanilla Blonde to share her top inspirational blogs and she came up with an awesome list that’s got me itching for some blog reading time!

These are the blogs I click on daily (or every second day depending on if I have time)

I find her content so easy to read and so inspiring. Emily makes you want to live a better, more sophisticated life!

I absolutely adore Rosie’s photography, her puns and she is always travelling somewhere exotic. I live vicariously.

A Swedish blogger and again, her photography is amazing. She really manages to capture fashion beautifully and in gorgeous settings.

My braid inspiration. She has the sweetest family and makes me a little broody actually! I love how she incorporates fashion, beauty, hair and lifestyle all together.

And then I know you said 3 – 6 blogs, BUT I have more blogs that I catch up on each weekend! I flick between binge watching series and binge reading blogs – and these are a few of my favourites…

Superficial Girls – her photographs are incredible and I love supporting local bloggers.

Love Taza – she blogs about her family in the greatest way! I actually feel like a stalker – I’ve been reading her blog since she and her husband had a bulldog. They now have 3 kids and I’ve gone through each birth and watched these children grow. It sounds absolutely bizarre, but I do love the window I have into this New York family.

Gal Meets Glam – I’ve only recently discovered her blog. I adore her style, her photography is world class and she has enviable hair.

Tails of a Mermaid – Natalie is a local blogger and I really enjoy reading what she has to say. She blogs about local places to visit, eat at and really keeps it real.

Ellie Love – another local blogger who is really uplifting and also has the sweetest family.

Camille Styles – she blogs about lifestyle and how to throw the perfect dinner party right down to what to wear.

My Life in Pink – a local blogger who is a successful model and showcases the most gorgeous fashion.

Spruce Lifestyle – 2 Joburg bloggers who write about lifestyle, great places to visit, places they’ve travelled. I always enjoy their posts.

Pretty Mint – she’s a local blogger who always writes about cool items and experiences. I love to read what she has to say.

One Stiletto at a Time – she does lovely beauty reviews,

We are the Wildflowers – local blogger who writes beautifully. I’m always whisked away into her world of descriptions.

Thanks so much for sharing all your favourite blogs Bailey. What a great list! This will certainly keep me busy for some time. My hope is that it will also inspire others to add some new blogs to their catch up list!

Kathryn Rossiter

Kathryn is a South African lifestyle blogger and mom of 2 who has been blogging daily for over 9 years! She writes about travel, health, beauty, fashion, decor and family... but not food (unless it's food she's eaten made by someone else) as she is a hopeless cook. She only wakes up early for 2 things... a red-eye flight to somewhere exotic and early morning game drives. She has just finished an extensive home renovation and would prefer to never see another box again. She's never met a chocolate or glass of bubbles that she didn't like!
