So, this part-time blogging business is becoming pretty full-time of late which is all very exciting but does mean that I’m struggling to keep up with all my commitments and although I have plenty of ideas and amazing opportunities, finding time to grow and develop the blog is proving to be impossible… I’m just barely keeping my head above my inbox!

Digital Advertising Sales Person (Part-time)

I’m looking for someone with experience and connections in the world of digital ad sales who will be able to help me sell advertising space on Becoming you on a commission basis.

Intern (Part-time)

I’m looking for an intern to help me with a variety of tasks related to running Becoming you. This position would be ideal for a media student, mom or au pair (e.g. someone with flexi hours) who is interested in the blogging, online and social media world and would like to gain knowledge, experience and exposure in this field. The position would suit someone who enjoys writing, marketing, social media, editing, photography or video editing and has some graphic and web design skills. Technical knowledge would be an advantage.

This position is suitable for a senior undergraduate, recent graduate, or graduate students with a University degree or diploma in either journalism, media studies or copy writing. Please note that this is not a job shadow position for school goers.

Responsibilities:
Assisting with publication and community management on social media platforms – Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest and Google +
Manage competitions and ad campaigns
Assist with organizing Blog Boot Camp event
Strategize, develop, photograph and write content for blog and other online or print platforms
Assist with and develop marketing campaigns and strategies
Attend fashion & beauty events
Product reviews
Improve SEO rankings – webpage optimization, copywriting, and link building.
Conduct market research
Track key digital trends
Digital advertising sales (commission will be paid)

Familiarity with the technical side of website building and maintenance plus graphic design skills would be a bonus.

Things to note:
This internship is unpaid.
I am Cape Town based and you will be required to work from my base in the Southern Suburbs a 3 hours a morning, 3 x per week initially, once we have established a working relationship the location can be more flexible.
The arrangement will start on a one month trial basis and thereafter continue for 4 months with the view to extend if it is still working for both parties.
You will need your transport.
You will need your own computer (laptop preferable) and a reliable internet connection.
Experience in marketing/social media or a degree/diploma in this field, will be to your advantage, but is not required.
