I hope you’re loving all the beauty content coming your way each week. I know I am!
My Beauty Babes are really delivering aren’t they! Love them xx
The colours were so bright, the packaging was so sleek and the swatches looked incredible! So, of course, I was super chuffed to try them out when Kathryn asked me to review them.
Cara and I actually both wanted this review.. awkward. So we split the shades.. Cara let me take three and she took two. Eek. S/O to Cara being a fabulous friend.
Anyway, I got the shades 60 COSMOPOLITIAN, 80 DARE TO PINK and 100 PEACH.
And looking at those photos I am sure you can tell why we were dying to get our hands on them. They are STUNNERS.
Described online as “High-Density Statement shades for cheeks that speak. Cheeks that make a statement in one sweep. More pigments for our most saturated color. Even more refined texture.”
I definitely agree that these are some of the most pigmented Maybelline blushes that I have used. And I have used a lot.
There is a slight powder fallout when applying this, but nothing that a dust off of your brush won’t fix.
The shade payoff is spot on to the colour you see in the pan. The peach shade is literally the perfect shade for my skintone. If you are fair with darker hair and brows then 100 PEACH POP needs to be your new jam.
Something to chat about: the packaging. PLEASE do not try and take the lid off by pulling it up and off. It actually swipes up to the left. This is uber chic and fancy, but you may end up denting the pan itself when trying to jam the lid off. I got waaay too much blusher under my nails by forcing this lid off.
And finally, the biggest bonus for me. You get a huge 5g of product in here which, in terms of powder products, is major. And, at R99 each, why would you not buy every single shade?
I was so excited when I saw that Maybelline had released a new blush range mainly because I thought the dreamy bounce blushers were a bit meh which made me anticipate this new launch.
The Maybelline MasterBlushers are described as “high-density statement shades for cheeks that speak”. In other words super pigmented blush shades and that is exactly what they are! I have the shades Rose Madison and Brown both of which are gorgeous shades and fit perfectly in my make up collection. Rose Madison is a gorgeous bright pink shade that can be sheered down to look like a natural flush and Brown is a gorgeous warm toned golden brown shade that I tend to use as an all over bronzer pretty much daily! It is the most gorgeous brown shade that again can be sheered down and built up to give the face a gorgeous bronzed effect.
The packaging is so cool with a lid that slides upwards, no fussing with little flimsy clips to open it up. There are 5 shades in the range, I have my eye on the Peach Pop one next just look at Rayne’s swatches though heart eyes. These Maybelline MasterBlushers retail for R100 each and are available at Clicks and Dischem.
Thanks so much to Rayne and Cara for this pretty post!
