Beauty Review: Eco Diva Body Oil

A beautiful beauty review for you today from brand new Beauty Babe, Nadia! Read on below for her review of the Eco Diva Body Oil and discover why I’m so pleased to have Nadia on board…

You might be familiar with Nicole Sherwin, who had us glued to our TV screens on the EXPRESSO Morning Show, SABC 3, Thursday mornings creating natural recipes and solutions in skincare, health and home. It is here where her passion and Eco Diva was born with the philosophy to be a kindness brand to help & heal. For people, animals & planet.

The Eco Diva Brand stood out for me because of the promise to be eco-friendly, use organic ingredients, non-toxic, chemical-free and paraben-free. After receiving the product and learning more about the brand, I discovered it stands for so much more – it is also sulphate-free, cruelty-free, vegan-friendly, unisex, beauty without cruelty certified and proudly made in South Africa.

It is in the dead of Winter here in South Africa and I tend to lead a pretty active and outdoor lifestyle. My skin takes a beating all year round in the elements. The body oil seemed like the perfect product to try in the hopes that it will moisturize and repair some of the damage.

If you are anything like me and your skin is in desperate need of a potent boost, then the Eco Diva Body Oil will not disappoint. It is an organic, superfood-rich oil that restores elasticity, boosts hydration and feeds your skin vitamins to maintain a healthy PH balance & a youthful, glowing complexion.

The body oil is a tonic for mind and body that balances the skin’s pH levels! Bergamot & Grapefruit oils are commonly used in aromatherapy to alleviate stress and boost & balance your mood. Both also have antiseptic & antimicrobial properties keeping your skin (your biggest organ) super healthy.

The hero ingredient for me is Marula oil. Marula tree native to parts of Southern Africa Marula oil is high in anti-oxidants and Vitamin E making it not only extremely moisturising but nourishing too, great for aging and dry skin.

Together all these ingredients will help heal, lighten discolourations and repair skin. And added benefit it is a powerful anti-inflammatory for the skin that contains naturally occurring sun protection, UVA and UVB protection, perfect for South African sunshine.

This body oil is a light oil that smooths onto the skin effortlessly & soaks into the skin beautifully. The smell is delicate, citrusy with a slight hint of floral notes but yet it has a spicy edge which makes it perfect for both me and my husband. It doesn’t linger nor does it transfer onto your clothes.

The body oil has become a firm favourite in my morning routine. After a warm shower I apply it all over my skin, (from head to toe) and can almost get dressed immediately after without the risk of it transferring onto clothes. It absorbs and soaks into my skin quickly, which might also be a sign that my skin is in desperate need of a nutrient boost. It is true nourishment for your skin.

There is nothing not to like about this product, from the delicate smell, the ease of application and how my skin glows after, I would highly recommend it and look forward to exploring the rest of the range Eco Diva has to offer. If Eco Diva launches a diffuser that smells just like the oil, I’ll be first in line to purchase a few for my house!

Hop over to the Eco Diva online store to explore more products from hand purifiers, cheeky shimmers to luxurious face creams and many more.  I can’t wait to try the Superfood Face Serum, if the results from the Body Oil is anything to go by.

The body oil is available in a 200ml recyclable plastic bottle and the pump action makes it really easy use with no oily mess. I love the clean, simple design and happily display it in my minimalist bathroom.
