Beauty Buzz: Woolworths Bath and Body Range

Recently I was invited to spend a few hours at the beautiful Babylonstoren wine estate for the launch of the new and improved Woolworths bath and body products of personal products.

The event was a sensorial feast – and every station offered the opportunity to enjoy the new range in a brand new way!

Firstly the venue was sublime – a lazy afternoon in the dappled shade of the historic oak trees – totally dreamy!

One of my favourite experiences of the afternoon was a very unexpected one… a sound massage! This was such a unique concept for me and I was totally skeptical BUT I can say this was incredible. The way the sound waves from the singing bowls carry through your body is so relaxing and harmonising to your nervous system. It made me so aware of how sounds – good and bad – impact our wellbeing!

After this mesmerising soul experience, I decided to sneak off to the silent area for some a short siesta surrounded by clouds and soothings sounds!

It is amazing how transformative it can be to spend a few minutes a day prioristising your own physical and mental well-being. Just a few minutes of meditation with scent and sound and touch and I was elevated to a completely different space within myself. I can highly recommend spending time resetting your soul with some of these techniques… and a few pampering products, of course!

The existing range has had a complete revamp and there have been an amazing array of brand new products added to the offering.

Using active ingredients from natural surroundings, Woolworths has developed a range of products that are kind to your skin and the environment. There are no harsh chemicals, no azo dye and the packaging of the range is recyclable. The entire range is vegetarian (some vegan) and endorsed by Beauty without Cruelty.

Here are a few of my favourites…

The Lemon Verbena Hand Cream is a personal fave as I have a lovely memory attached to lemon verbena – my gran had a bush growing at her front door and every time I left her home she would grab a handful of leaves and crush them to release the scent before popping them in my hand, car or bag – to remind me of her. To this day I remember my special gran every time I catch a whiff of lemon verbena, and yes, I’ve planted a plant of my own!

There are some amazingly innovative products available including the Purifying Charcoal Face Wipes and the decadent Body Puddings in a tempting selection of flavours (good enough to eat!)

There is also a wide variety of face and hand masks – in all manner of forms and conveniences – from a Hydrating Gel Mask in a tube to a Brightening Clay Mask in a tub to a Purifying Sheet Mask in a convenient pouch. There really is one to suit every need, preference and budget!

If your feet have been taking strain after a summer of sandals you really do want to invest in their range of Eucalyptus and Mint foot products that will revive and restore!

My husband was particularly pleased with the new men’s range of products including the Shave Gel, Shave Foam, Post Shave Balm as well as a range of face products that will encourage more regular grooming and skincare by those men who usually feel intimidated by products! Stylishly simple!

All in all I am blown away by the variety of beautiful new bath and body products on offer. Find them in the personal care aisle of your local Woolworths!
