Beauty Review: Spring Fling by GOSH

Spring is here and with it comes all the pretty pinks and purples of new makeup ranges! Hooray!

I love pretty makeup and the new Spring Fling range from GOSH is just that… think lots of beautiful shimmers, satins and shades.

Some of my favourite items from their new range include….

Primer + – The first step to perfect porcelain looking skin this Spring is this primer. Containing snow algae – an anti-aging skincare ingredient – this primer not only blurs out imperfections it also provides the perfect platform on which to apply your makeup. While doing this it protects the skin at a cellular level while rejuvenating the skin’s youthful appearance and hydrating the skin. WOW what a multi-tasker! No parabens or perfumes make this a real winner. (R210.00)

Giant Blush Stick – This is an amazing stick blush which has a creamy texture that almost feels like powder on application. There are 3 shades in the Spring Fling range and I LOVE the one called Shy… a natural pinky brown. This is a super convenient blush that is really easy to apply and makes for a great addition to my makeup bag! (R135.00)

No Limit Lash Mascara – The unusual shape of this brush first caught me a bit off guard but after trying it out I realised that this is a great brush to add extra length to my lashes!

The unique design of the brush is such that the bristles are organised like nine combs around the under side of the brush with two “open” areas functioning as a reservoir. The short upper bristles coat the lashes and then the longer bristles direct the lashes to create more volume, definition and length.

The formula combined with the soft, supple, flexible brush created a whole lot more definition to my lashes – not only length but also volume. My eyes definitely looked better for it! The only negative I found was that it wasn’t so easy to separate my lashes with the brush after applying mascara so you need to be quite good at applying your mascara correctly, and without clumps, the first time. Eyelight Trio – This pretty eyeshadow trio includes 3 different textures of eyeshadow in one palette – a highlighter, glitter and satin shade. The highlighter is an iridescent shine which lights up the eye, the glitter has great colour payoff infused with a sparkle and the satin is pure colour to add depth and interest to your eye. Pictured here is the Fairytale trio – one of 3 options in the Spring Fling range. (R135.00)

Forever Lip Shine – a twist up lipstick which defines lips and colours in one seamless application. I love the smooth texture that glides on easily and leaves my lips feeling super moisturised. The colour payoff is great and it has a shiny finish and is long-lasting. I found the twist-up application was great and the sharp tip was awesome for lining my lips first. There are 10 pretty colours in the range from nudes to brights and my favourite is a light berry red called Fluffy Feeling but Baby Baby, a super sweet baby pink is perfect for Spring! (R105.00)
