Beauty Review: A Nimue Review

The number of skin care products that pass over my desk make it impossible for me to try every one so occasionally I pass on a range to a friend who might be able to use and review it sooner than I would get a chance to.

And today’s post is exactly that…. a guest post by my model, make-up artist and beauty blogger sister-in-law… Kirsten Murphy Rossiter!

While chatting recently she mentioned she was running low on her skin care products and I had just received a perfect little pack from Nimue which I thought might be perfect for her to try….

Read on for her Nimue Review!

NIMUE Skin Technology Phase 1

This range from Nimue promises to optimize Skin PH and accelerates skin renewal due to mild exfoliation and includes active ingredients such as Polyhydroxy Acids: Lacto Complex, Vitamin A, C and E; Moisturizing complex: Lipo Complex and Hyaluronic Acid.

Nimue Skincare 1

This is an acidic based cleanser which lightly exfoliates while cleansing. It feels gentle on my skin as it removes my makeup while cleansing and it does not feel like it’s stripping my skin of moisture. My skin generally does not feel tight after cleansing.

The conditioner has antibacterial and anti inflammatory properties and is said to improve the clarity and texture of your skin while accelerating the skin’s rejuvenation process.

I love that this toner comes in a spray bottle, so you can control the amount you are wanting on your cotton pad. It has a subtle fragrance and feels fresh on the skin.

Nimue Skincare 2

While offering continuous hydration, the moisturiser improves skin surface texture while balancing sebaceous activity.

This lightweight, yet hydrating moisturizer is the third step in my skincare routine. I love that this cream is not greasy and the fragrance is barely there. This moisturizer does not contain an SPF and therefore can be used at night.

This Barrier Cream is a rich moisturizer, I usually apply it on top of the Moisture Lite cream. I find it gives me extra hydration on days where I feel my skin needs a bit more than light moisture.

Eye cream is one of my favorite beauty products. I cannot go to bed or leave the house without applying my eye cream. This anti-ageing eye cream feels gentle around the sensitive eye area. It is said to improve defence agains UV rays, which is a very important factor for me. I have really enjoyed using this product, but personally I feel like I need more moisture around the eye area especially after removing the day’s eye makeup.

I have been using Nimue Skincare for about 2 months now and the results have really been amazing. I have never had perfect skin, It has never been extremely bad, but it has always been a bit of maintenance trying to keep my skin smooth.

I go for regular facials, once a month which definitely helps the condition of my skin. I can honestly say that in the last two months, when going for my facial, my beautician has commented on my skin saying that it has been great! With it being Summer, I usually find that my skin can be rather greasy, but with this skincare routine, it has been under control! My skin tone is even and my skin feels hydrated yet not oily.
