Beauty Review: optiphi Body Range Review

I recently asked my Beauty Babe, Kirsten, to try out the optiphi Body Range and write up a review… and she duly complied, so here it is!

I’m often one to neglect my body exfoliation and moisturising routine as the weather turns chilly as it is just sooo cold when jumping out of the shower and who really wants to lather cold moisturiser on their body when the weather is icy.

But for this optiphi Body Lotion and Body Foliant, I have made an exception!

“Optiphi was born from the knowledge applied in the fields of producing burn wound dressings, wound ointments and even temporary skin substitutes, the understanding of the inner workings of the skin allow us to create unique and highly effective skincare products with unparalleled results.”

What was very interesting for me was the fact that this exfoliator has a smooth cream like texture and is not grainy and abrasive like general exfoliators that I know.

Instead, Glycolic acid, known as a chemical exfoliator, is the star ingredient in this product. It gently removes unwanted dry skin, helping to improve absorption of active ingredients while enhancing collagen production.

The second active ingredient is Lactic acid which works to keep the keep the skin hydrated and supple.

The optiphi Body Foliant can be easily used as an overnight exfoliator as you jump out of of the shower (which is pretty convenient with our water restrictions in Cape Town) and there is no need to rinse it off the next morning, it can be kept on (as I like to do) or rinsed off.

The best friend to the optiphi Body Foliant is the next step in winter body care…

The optiphi Body Curve Evergreen Body Lotion is a very soft and lightweight body moisturiser. While leaving your skin feeling smooth and supple with the ingredients Lactic Acid and Allantoin, it also supplies it with added benefits of protecting it against harmful free-radicals with the active ingredient Imperata Cylindrica Extract.

The Evergreen Body Lotion comes in a 250ml tube for R233 and the Body Foliant in a 200ml tube at R731. Both can be purchased online at
