Beauty Review: Lancome Visionnaire Review

The gorgeous Kirsten Murphy Rossiter is sharing my space today with her Beauty Babes review of the Lancome Visionnaire moisturiser.

Lancome Visionnaire SPF is a lightweight cream which is multi correcting and works to combat skin dullness. It also helps to reduce the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines as well as protects against premature skin ageing.

It also contains an SPF 20 which protects against the harsh UV rays. I am a sucker for fresh fragrances and this cream has exactly that, a fragrance that is not overpowering.

It’s often a challenge for me to find the perfect moisturisers that work well under foundation on my clients (Kirsten is a professional makeup artists). When I received this one, I thought it would be just perfect to experiment with. And that it was!

I have used it on a variety of different aged clients underneath primer and foundation and I have had no problem with foundation sliding or looking too greasy because of it. I do, however, avoid using it on skins that are extremely oily.

The fact that there is a SPF works so well for me as models are often shooting out in the sun and need a bit of protection from the rays.

The same goes for my brides, so often the wedding ceremony is outside is the sunshine, so little bit of SPF is a huge plus. I haven’t noticed any flashback in images which is wonderful!

I have thoroughly enjoyed this product and would love to try some of the other products in the range.

The Lancome Visionnaire range is available at Foschini online and Red Square online as well as in Red Square and Edgars stores. It retails at R800 for 50ml.

Have you tried any of the other products in the Lancome range?

  1. I’m curious, do you find with the SPF 20 that this cream has that sunscreen stickiness? I’m looking for a good moisturizer but once they add the sunscreen it tends to feel more like a sunscreen than a moisturizer. You say you use this under foundations which has me thinking I should try it.

  2. Hi Sharon, I have not noticed any stickiness with this moisturiser at all. My suggestion would be to go to a Lancome counter barefaced and try some on your skin, wear it for the day before buying it 🙂
