A taste of Switzerland – a picnic at Swissland Cheese

During our family holiday to KZN we were on the hunt for things to do with kids in the Midlands… and stumbled across a really great option that is a must for all families visiting the area…

The beautiful Swissland Cheese is a little taste of Switzerland right in the heart of the Midlands!

From the towering pine trees to the quirky cabins and the tinkling of cowbells it certainly transported us all to another place immediately.

Swissland Cheese has a unique offering and is a popular place for families thanks to their self serve picnic deli serving up delicious, artisanal goats’ cheeses to be enjoyed on the beautiful farm while the kids run riot in the fresh country air.

A small herd of healthy, happy, free roaming goats produce healthy goats milk that create a large variety of award winning cheeses.

We all enjoyed selecting our own items for our relaxed afternoon chilling on a blanket under the trees and our kids especially enjoyed interacting with the animals – particularly the cheeky goats!
