Kathryn is a South African lifestyle blogger and mom of 2 who has been blogging daily for over 9 years! She writes about travel, health, beauty, fashion, decor and family... but not food (unless it's food she's eaten made by someone else) as she is a hopeless cook. She only wakes up early for 2 things... a red-eye flight to somewhere exotic and early morning game drives. She has just finished an extensive home renovation and would prefer to never see another box again. She's never met a chocolate or glass of bubbles that she didn't like!

  1. My favourite colour is definitely the purple! Would probably use it on anything I could lay my hands on as well as the jars I have in my spice cupboard to write my own chalk labels

  2. I love the yellow, Would use it to paint some bright, pretty pics to hang up in the kids room. Would also paint my flower pots

  3. If I had to choose one colour it would be the yellow, but I also love that green, but seriously – I could have one of every colour… I’m busy doing my nursery and the theme is neutral with splashes of colour – this would be perfect for some final touches to the room. (and everywhere else in the house!)

  4. The turquoise sky is simply gorgeous….I would use it to write down messages or reminders for the week, birthday reminders and get togethers with my BF’s.

  5. I like the purple and the light blue. I can’t stop thinking of ideas for which to use these. So many cute spots in my home would work. (kids room, kitchen, office, organizing)

  6. I would love the chocolate brown one for my kitchen…write down quick grocery reminders and recipes.

  7. I LOVE the purple colour and would use it to paint a massive wall at a children’s place of safety I’m involved in to make a funky chalkboard. The kids would have endless hours of fun and it would distract them from drawing on all the other walls ; ) At home, I would use it to make those great placemats…for all the artists in my family : )

  8. I would love to have my kitchen door painted in Mauve Grey, for every one to scribble and doodle. A great talking point!

  9. I’ve been dreaming of converting my little girls bedroom wall into a huge chalkboard – would be SO pretty in Turquoise Sky!! Loving the placemat idea too!

  10. What a fabulous product! I’d love the bright blue one. I’d do place mats and noticeboards for my kitchen and dining room. My sons are learning to write (7 year old) and draw (3 year old) so they would love them!

I want to find out if you can use them to paint outside. If so, I’ll paint a section of concrete for the boys to draw hopscotch and other games on.

  11. I would love to use the black, red and blue on my craftroom-drawers! These paints are so versatile and an be used anywhere, I love it!

  12. What an amazing product! My fav colour is Turquoise Sky……..holding thumbs because I could definately have loads of fun with these products!! With most of my house being blue, I would love to paint a whole door……probably the one on my daughter’s room so she can draw to her heart’s content 🙂

  13. I LOVE the Deep Purple!! I have an old steel cabinet in my kitchen that needs a revamp. My 2 year old son could scribble on it while I cook up a storm 😉

  14. Think I’d choose the pink for my daughters> Would make a tea party table we could draw on and write guests names on.

  15. Loving the blue’s and pink, would use it in the kids room, garage wall for fun drawings, everywhere for that matter 🙂

  16. Love the midnight navy!
I’d use it to on a toddler table for my daughter, and I also love the placemat and gift tag ideas on their Facebook page.

  17. Bright Blue & Grassy Green! Can’t choose just one colour as my kids are twins and both need their own colour as they share a room. This would be perfect for their door so they can write all the things they need to remember…the white board has run out of space!

  18. It is just too difficult to choose just 1, all the colours are so warm and rich. I did choose though, I chose red; blue; green; red and yellow and then I also mixed up orange. I painted 1 large wall in my boys playroom with black chalk board paint and filled int he various shapes with my a.scribe colours – see the picture I posted to your wall 🙂

  19. My favourtie colour is yellow, to do the final touches in my bedroom.
I ‘Have liked a.scribe facebook page. Have tweeted and shared to facebook. Twittername: online61524
    Awesome giveway, holding thumbs!

  20. I like both pages,to me the green is just lovely, but my little boy has surprised me buy informing me that he does in fact have a favourite colour,im shocked, when did he grow up enough to realise there is such a thing as a fav colour, but anyway his fav is red,so in the spirit of supporting my little darlings favourite colour im going to vote for RED<3

  21. Definitely Apple Red! I would use it as “love board” for family members to stick sweet messages to each other or notes to celebrate a family member for stuff like birthdays, passing a test, etc.

  22. It’s really hard to choose! They are all such delicious colours and I can imagine a whole bunch of different things to do with each. What about a red mailbox on which you can leave notes for the mailman? Or a royal purple fridge? But I am settling on Turqoise for my craftroom cupboards 🙂

Thank you for a great giveaway and the chance to win it.

  23. These are awesome! I habve so many Ideas!wher4e to start???I’m thinking a pink colour for my kitchen for a notice/grocery list board! I’m thinking a blue for my son’s bedroom door, and a lila for my daughter’s toy box!oh yes, and yellow for my busy bee clasroom theme mini boards for all the kids!

  24. Hmm, how to choose? Seems everyone else has the same dilemma. Apple Red could be a start… then I would have to get one of each to make it all work. Veggie garden markers, to do lists, photo boards. My list is endless. Great product!

  25. Oh, HOW are you to ask us to try pick a colour and to try define how we’d use these! It’s cruelty really… so many colours, so many uses! Well then, here’s my answer if I must limit it: the blue and green would work so well in our lounge (which is those colours), and the red to organize our office (which is currently “bleh”-plain!)!

  26. I would paint the lime green on the face of my study shelves to lable where my stuff must go. Then I would also paint it on the front of my containers and label whats in them. That way, everytime I re-organise my study it is quick, cheap and easy.

  27. I absolutely love the purple! I would create a wall in my son’s bedroom and let him go mad with chalk! He is 5 years old and hates writing in his work book at school yet loves his little chalk board…so to have an ENTIRE WALL to write on would be his dream!!

  28. My kitchen is multicoloured and would love to paint all the walls a different colour!!!
I also have my sisters wedding in Oct this year and mine hopefully next year and we both have ideas using chalk paint – from the invites to the thank you gifts.
I cant choose one colour hence the multicoloured kitchen but i would be happy with any colour!!!

  29. I love all your colours! But I want to take a plain wooden frame with a mirror in it. Paint the wooden frame pink & write happy-feel-good messages to my mom, so when she gets up in the morning to get ready for the day, I can put a smile on her face 🙂

  30. I would love to win the turquoise blue! It is my wedding day in Dec( and my wedding colour),and would love to paint all things with the chalkboard paint. I would paint all my glass jars in my house with chalkboard paint,so that I can see whats in them…flour, bran, icing sugar etc.

I would put paint on my one wall in the kitchen and use it as a menu and shopping list board….
ok- i would paint anything that I can get my hand on,…even serving trays…and write whats been served.

  31. I absolutely love the purple 🙂 my favourite colour. I would organize all my spices jars with paint the colour purple on the glass jars with the paint and write which spice is in each jar.

I would also paint a beautiful big heart in pink on a section of wall in my daughter room, so that she can create her own work of art with chalk – which I know she will absolutely love.

I will also use all the colours and paint a hopscotch game on our cement outside – a game we can all enjoy 🙂

Wow I can go on and on.

The a.scribe paints are awesome – love them!

  32. My favourite colour would be the deep purple.

I would paint a wall in the the study or kitchen like a calendar with squares for dates.
Then it would be a snap to update my schedule with a swipe of the eraser.
Also have a place empty for shopping lists, phone messages, and easy recipe reference.

  33. My neighbour has four children, ranging in age 7 mths to 10 year old, and this would be ideal to make a project board or star chart for the kids, so purple for the girl, blu, green and red for the boys, how do I choose a colour I cant, they are all great.

  34. I love al the colours…purple and yellow and i think id paint a big colourful chalk board for use by my kiddies at the playschool where i work! a striped chalk board…i have likes both

  35. I like the red, matches my kitchen colours,
think i”d paint most things paintable, thanks to the good suggestions above i have some great ideas now!

  36. I heart (love) the heart chalkboards (or anything to do with hearts) and the red jumps out at me. Could definately use some for our wedding in a few months, what FUN!!! (all the colours are great though 🙂

  37. I love all the colours, but if I had to I would probably choose the red one. I would use it to piant different size teapots and cups on one of the walls in the kitchen as decor and would write quotes or verses on the teapots.

  38. I LOVE this product, I want to paint my daughters start chart on her wall for her 🙂 and definitely a chalkboard in the kitchen so that she can write while I bake 😀

  39. Love the bright blue! Would paint a big sea chalk wall in my girls’ playroom. They would love it!
