Life can be mundane, boring, exhausting. It can feel like an endless treadmill with no benefit of losing weight in sight (esp for us working moms!)
But it is for this exact reason that it’s always important to find moments to celebrate.
Recently my folks received some good news – yes, it comes with a whole heap of challenges but ultimately it’s great news.
They have been offered a place at their retirement village of choice and can move in a few months. Then they sold their house within 1 day which is unheard of in the current market!
There’s so much going on in both our lives that my mom and I don’t often find time to relax and chat and catch up so when the opportunity arose to pop in to enjoy High Tea at The Cellars-Hohenort I knew exactly who to invite to join me… my mom!
Imagine savoury treats such as roasted vegetable & goat’s cheese tarts, and beef & peppadew sosaties, followed by an array of sweet delights including Classic Madagascan chocolate cake, a Mélange of flavoured Cupcakes and Fresh fruit pavlovas – not to forget the traditional Finger sandwiches.
And the bonus is the The Cellars-Hohenort are very happy to accommodate all dietary requirements. Vegan? No problem. Gluten-free? Of course. Low Carb? With pleasure!
They were so lovely about providing me with a Gluten & Dairy Free tower of treats. (my instructions from my doctor if I want to get my Hypothyroid right!)
We sat down to indulge in a high tea of delights and didn’t move from our spot, literally sinking in to the embrace of the super soft couch.
The high tea also includes a selection of fragrant teas and coffees – but we opted to first enjoy a celebratory glass of bubbly! The bond had been approved on my mom’s house sale and things are moving in the right direction.
You see – it’s about FINDING the things to celebrate in life!
Served daily in the Sun Lounge, on the Conservatory Terrace or in the Palm Arch, the High Tea is the perfect way to celebrate.
Whether you have a special family birthday, hen party, baby shower or just want to get a group of girls together to toast your “tribe”, The Cellars-Hohenort is a beautiful spot to escape the pressures of daily life for a few hours…. and don’t forget a wander through their gardens will refresh your soul!
