OK so life is a bit of chaos right now. I write this surrounded by piles of boxes and there is a literal moat around my house… foundation trenches filled with water as the rain we’ve all been praying for for MONTHS, decided to arrive on the day our building began. Brilliant!
Anyway apologies for the delay in getting this out. I know that May’s favourite finds should be going out now NOT April’s….. I’ll catch up shortly once we’ve actually moved out and I have space and time to think!! (OK so this post didn’t quite go out when it was supposed to… we’ve moved out now so hoping to get back on track soon!)
Let’s get cracking… April’s Favourite Finds, better late than never
1. Dove Intensive Repair Shampoo and Conditioner
I’ve been using this new Intensive Repair Shampoo & Conditioner from the Nutritive Solutions range Dove for a few weeks now and can say that my hair is feeling great! The range is formulated with patented Fibre Actives™ technology that penetrates deep inside the hair shaft to reconstruct it from within leaving your hair stronger. Hair cuticles are also sealed from the outside of the follicle leaving your hair strengthened, nourished and more manageable. My hair has been more soft and manageable over the past few weeks and definitely far less dry than before. A great everyday hair care range for those struggling with damaged hair.
2. Bioderma Hydrabio skincare range
Winter = dry skin and this new Hydrabio range from Bioderma is created especially to hydrate dehydrated, sensitive skin. Found in the full range of Hydrabio products, the Aquagenium® patent stimulates the skin’s cellular capacities and reactivates its natural hydration process by stimulating the production of aquaporins (water channels in the skin) and retaining the water it needs in order to be balanced.
The range comes with a hydrating Micellar Water (one of Bioderma’s cult products) known as Hydrabio H2O which is the 1st dermatological micellar water that is perfectly compatible with the skin meaning optimum make-up removing efficacy even for sensitive skins. I’ve been loving the super light Perfecteur day cream that comes with an SPF 30 and contains special properties that “blur” blemishes and micro-wrinkles while adding a radiance. Ideal for women who prefer using only a little make-up or none at all. The slightly richer and creamier Creme has also been amazing for nourishing my skin while I sleep. Available at Dis-Chem Pharmacies and independent pharmacies and online at www.cosmetiquesdefrance.co
3. Revlon Colorstay Gel Envy Nail Polish
Loving this fun bright purple nail colour from Revlon called Up the Ante. I’ve been impressed with how long the colour stays put – for over a week – when paired with the top coat. It’s really been brightening my days amidst the chaos!
4. Woolworths Macadamia Nut Butter
THIS has changed my snacking ways… All I want these days is Macadamia Nut Butter on rice cakes and then I feel so virtuous eating this deliciousness and knowing it’s actually good for me!! Good fats people. We also have used this to make delicious breakfast balls from Jess Sepel’s book (which I featured as one of my favourite finds a few months back here) They are amazing. But be warned. Using Peanut Butter in the breakfast balls is not the same. You need this. Now please don’t go and clear the shelves. My jar is almost dry!!!
We signed up. I haven’t been blogging as much lately. It’s awesome. I highly recommend couch and TV time. I had forgotten how good it could be. Hahaha.
See you soon….. with May’s favourites!
