I popped into the new Zara store at the V&A Waterfront last week. Unfortunately it was just BEFORE pay day – bad timing on my part – which meant I had to walk away empty handed but I will be very keen to make a trip back soon and find something pretty to purchase. It won’t be hard – so much prettiness. The prices weren’t too bad either. A bit more pricey than your average department store but not out of reach. An interesting t-shirt with sleeve detail would be about R150 and a great classic blazer about R650. Sweet summer dresses for a special occasion are about R800 and a very sparkly sequined jacket was the most expensive item I saw for R1500. The shoes were all about R800 I think… Not too bad prices considering the great quality and a lovely range of prints, patterns and colours to pick from that are different and more interesting that what has usually been available to us at the tip of Africa!
