What I… Sharon from The Blessed Barrenness
I recently discovered Sharon’s blog and have been enjoying reading her posts so much. Her blog is her place where she shares her voice about the heartbreak of infertility and the hope of adoption. The name of her blog describes herself: “barren but beautifully blessed”.
Sharon is a Wife to Walter and Mom to Ava – her adopted daughter after 7 years of struggling to fall pregnant!! She describes herself as a lover of food, wine and fun with family and friends.
To find out more about her journey to motherhood or Trinity Heart, the South African online information and support portal for prospective adoptive parents which she founded visit The Blessed Barrenness or read on….
I love wine!
Everything will be alright in the end, if it’s not alright, it’s not the end. That mantra kept me going through some of the most challenging times of my life. My husband says that it’s that mantra that has given me a bit of a Hakuna Matata attitude towards life, I’ve learned to really not sweat the small stuff. That mantra has always rung true for me, not matter the circumstance, no matter the challenge, everything has and always will turn out alright in the end.
My husband and my daughter, more than life itself and of course, her birth mother, who made all my dreams come true with her beautiful, selfless act of love.
Wine glorious wine!
Marian Keyes and of course, I was totally hooked on the 50 Shades books, also love The Sookie Stackhouse Mysteries and I love gossip mags but I spend most of my reading time reading blogs and Twitter!
To add to our family again via adoption.
To be thinner! Wallis Simpson is quoted as saying “a woman can never be too rich or too thin!” Well I’m working on the thin part.
But in all seriousness, what I want most in life is to be able to dedicate all of my time to Trinity Heart (www.trinityheart) an adoption support website I founded a few months ago, it really is my passion project and gives me such a great sense of fulfilment.
Jeans! I live in jeans, they are my daily staple. And accessories. I seem to spend every morning planning which pair of denims work with which accessories and I spend a large portion of my salary on jeans and accessories too!
More time in the day!
A holiday… roll on December!
A day at Mangwanani with my girlfriends!
