What I… Jess from The Avant Garde Guide
Today I’m sharing my space with up and coming fashion blogger, Jess, who blogs over at The Avant Garde Guide. Her passion is fashion and she blogs about shows, trends, designers, diversity and controversy. Read on to find out a little bit more about this cool and casual fashionista!
Know, I know that life is unpredictable so I try to focus on what makes me happy and on being a good person. I also know that you need to learn from your mistakes and in order to do so mistakes need to be made.
Love, The people I love – my boyfriend (what a cliché), my family and my friends. The places I love so far – New York, France, Mauritius, Italy and Switzerland. The things I love – art, truffles, the ocean, the TV series Girls, chocolate spring rolls, receiving flowers, the peanut butter and banana milkshake from Cafe Royale and orangutans. And of course I love everything fashion.
Read, I should read books but I don’t. Instead, I read Vogue, Elle, Glamour and Harper’s Bazaar. My favourite fashion blogs that I read are songofstyle.blogspot.com, sincerelyjules.com and theblondesalad.com.
Want, For a few years now I have wanted to go to Rwanda or Uganda to assist in the conservation of Gorillas. On a less serious note, I would go nuts for a Celine bag, a Cartier Love bracelet, Balenciaga cut-out boots and a walk-in closet. I want to live in New York and Paris and to learn how to speak French fluently. Lastly, one of my greatest desires is to become a professional fashion and style blogger
Wear, I wear far too much black and far too little colour – but I’m working on adding more colour to my wardrobe. I prefer gold over silver but I do have a silver Tiffany’s key necklace that I wear a lot. When in doubt I wear my black leather ankle boots from Aldo and skinny jeans with a plain t-shirt. Right now I love wearing denim on denim, all black outfits, and sneakers. I always wear my Fossil watch, my Swarovski ring from my man and my gold engraved bracelet from my family. I would also consider underwear as a pretty important staple since I wear it every day.
Need, I need the air in my lungs, my loved ones and my camera.
