Velddrif is a small town up the West Coast of South Africa about 2 hours drive from Cape Town on the R27 (go through Table View and past Melkbosstrand). These pics were taken down a stunning little dirt road alongside the estuary which is lined with old “bokkom” factories and quirky shops. There are little piers off which lots of kids were fishing and colourful fishing boats bobbed. Next time we head up that direction we plan to take a boat trip out into the estuary to enjoy some bird watching.
