Looking for a way to warm up this wet, wintery weekend? Why not head down to Cavendish Square‘s Taste of Winter Food & Wine Indulgence. The centre will be hosting food tastings compliments of Cavendish restaurant retailers, as well as food & wine pairings featuring wines from the West Coast wine region.
The event takes place at Col’Cacchio Pizzeria and the wine farms include Bellpost, Teubes, Fryers Cove and Namaqua.

I was fortunate to be invited to the launch over lunchtime and really enjoyed sampling some delicious wines and learning more about pairing them with the various courses including a carpaccio, artichoke and red pepper salad, an avo and biltong pizza and a very decadent Lindt chocolate brownie! Amazing to discover how the right wine can really bring out the flavours of the food and enhance the dining experience… now if only I could arrange for a sommelier at my next dinner party!!
