Now there is nothing more luxurious than climbing into a well dressed bed at night. Beautiful, clean, fresh linen is up there with some of the finest things in life! I’ve recently been updating my bedroom into a “boudoir” with the aid of a lick of paint, some new bedside lamps and a pretty new chandelier which I LOVE… but top of the “must have” list for any beautiful bedroom (or boudoir) is definitely good quality linen. When you think that you spend half your life in bed it really does make a huge difference to your quality of life! …  Read More »

Earthchild Winter 2013 Collection

With winter around the corner I thought it was a good time to do a sort out of my kids cupboards this past long weekend. I usually do this on a seasonal basis and remove all the items that are too small or ones that are not going to be used in the months ahead. Obviously this means that I then need to head off to the shops to add any items that might be missing. In this case it was jeans for my son and leggings for my daughter, long sleeved tops and warm tops all the way. And …  Read More »

West Coast Beach House

Posted on 2nd April, by Kathryn Rossiter in Inspiration, Interiors, Pretty Places, South Africa. 2 Comments

When you read this I will be enjoying a short break up the West Coast of South Africa at a favourite holiday spot where we go to chill, unwind, take long beach walks, collect shells, enjoy sundowners, watch the most amazing sunsets over the sea, curl up on the couch, read, sleep, crayfish and braai – lots! I am so lucky to have easy access to such a special place and I love building family memories there. We always love our time there and find we are packing up again far too quickly. Each time we leave we promise to …  Read More »

Timeless Travels – Greyton

Posted on 11th June, by Kathryn Rossiter in My Photography, My Travels, Timeless Travels. 1 Comment

Greyton is certainly one of my favourite small towns in South Africa. I spent a winter weekend here a few years ago and decided that this would be my destination of choice should I ever be fortunate enough to buy a weekend house in the country. I loved the “country” vibe – the horses in the paddocks, the quite lanes and the beautiful scenery and it’s all less than 2 hours drive from Cape Town. I am definitely keen to make a return visit soon. Which is your favourite small town in SA? images: Kathryn Rossiter
