Vintage Inspired Home
This pretty place is the home Australian home of South African illustrator Paula Mills and her family. This vintage inspired home is inline with the shabby chic style I love and when I found this series of photos of this beautiful space I had to share them with you. I adore Paula’s creative workspace – The wall filled with beautiful images, colours and designs is so very inspiring! She illustrates and blogs under for Sweet William the company she runs with her sister, Shelley. She sells her unique illustrations via the Sweet William Etsy shop. From the pictures it’s hard … Read More »
The White House
I love this wonderful white space. Not usually a colour used in family homes, the Eklunds of The Netherlands have managed to use white throughout their home to great effect! The simple colour choice makes this home feel clean and calm. It definitely helps that they have such great organizing ideas which have been used throughout the home to store away all the brightly coloured clutter that tends to accompany children… There are some great ideas to be found in the pics below. Take a tour of a different kind of “White House” here: Paula: ‘People think I’m chicken for … Read More »
Neat and Neutral Interior
Absolutely adore this sweet little neat and neutral interior space in Manhattan which I discovered via one of my favourite websites – The Selby. Have you discovered The Selby yet? It is a wonderful website dedicated to documenting ordinary people in their living spaces – most of which are quiet extraordinary! I love browsing through the site and seeing how others live… esp those that live so well. This space is a particular favourite of mine. Love the white and wood theme which is carried throughout the space. The home belongs to Lyndsay and Fitzhugh who are both designers (obviously) … Read More »

The shop specializes in lovingly restored French and Victorian style furniture, decor items and gifts. The owner, Johanna, also offers a interior design consulting service if you like the style of the shop. I loved spending time in this stunning space, as I love all things French, and I stayed a lot longer than I had intended to… admiring the pretty things, enjoying the view and chatting to Johanna! Beautiful baby nursery
How adorable is this beautiful baby nursery belonging to sweet little girl, Eulalie? I love vintage and all the beautiful weather furniture and mix ‘n match fabrics speak to my shabby chic style! This must be one of the loveliest baby spaces I have seen. This pretty nursery must be proof that you don’t need to spend a fortune on a brand new compactum or hire an interior designer for your baby’s first room! My favourite feature has to be the old suitcases with the well worn children’s books! And the cute branch rail is super sweet too. Do you … Read More »
Coco Chanels’ Apartment
I came across these photos of the interior of Coco Chanels’ Apartment in Paris located at 31 Rue Chambon. Gabrielle (a.k.a Coco) Chanel used this space as a base for her business over 75 years ago. Although she never slept here – she did that across the road at the Ritz hotel – this Orient-inspired place was where she entertained guests including artists Giacometti, Stravinsky and Dali. One of the most famous features is the spiral, mirrored staircase where Coco could position herself to discreetly watch the first reactions of the audience as each new design was unveiled as the … Read More »
