It’s no secret that I’m a huge fan of Kirsten Goss’s stunning jewellery and would jump at the chance to own any of her divine pieces. And I recently did treat myself to a little anniversary pressie for me ;) A stunning silver geometric hoop from the Urban Edge range to add to my Lifesaver necklace. The Urban Edge collection has settled into the Kirsten Goss studio, with new designs coming out all the time. and they are currently preparing for the next new collection launch – Bete Noire – which will take place in May. A happy home

Posted on 11th April, by Kathryn Rossiter in Design, Inspiration, Interiors, Pretty Places. No Comments

How beautiful is this vintage-style home located in Tasmania, Australia? I particularly love the beautiful blue of the kitchen cupboards! I love all the romantic touches esp the pink peonies. I’m quite keen to try to “dress” my newly painted coffee table with some coffee table books, a vase of fresh flowers and a pretty candle. I recently watch this great little instructional video on how to style a coffee table by Emily at Cupcakes and Cashemere and am feeling inspired. Everywhere I go I’m looking out for a pretty silver tray and small bud vase – let me know …  Read More »

Win R800 worth of luxurious linen from Mungo Design

Posted on 9th April, by Kathryn Rossiter in Design, Family Life, Inspiration, Interiors, Pretty Things, Shops, Websites, Win. 134 Comments

Now there is nothing more luxurious than climbing into a well dressed bed at night. Beautiful, clean, fresh linen is up there with some of the finest things in life! I’ve recently been updating my bedroom into a “boudoir” with the aid of a lick of paint, some new bedside lamps and a pretty new chandelier which I LOVE… but top of the “must have” list for any beautiful bedroom (or boudoir) is definitely good quality linen. When you think that you spend half your life in bed it really does make a huge difference to your quality of life! …  Read More »

Skinny laMinx Rough Cuts

Posted on 19th March, by Kathryn Rossiter in Creativity, Design, Events, Inspiration, Interiors, My Photography, Pretty Things, Shops. No Comments

Last week I went along to the media launch of the new Rough Cuts collection by Skinny laMinx. It was held at Rivets & Rockets on Bree Street where the raw concrete, wood and metalwork was the perfect backdrop to showcase the new colourful fabric designs by Heather Moore. I had a great evening chatting to fellow bloggers, sampling the delish food from and even got to meet Heather herself! Here are a few pics of the evening… According to Heather, Rough Cuts is a fabric collection inspired by her love of Scandinavian Style, but one that is quite at …  Read More »

Magnificent Missibaba

Posted on 8th March, by Kathryn Rossiter in Creativity, Design, Fashion, Inspiration, Pretty Things, Shops. No Comments

I would LOVE to own a designer handbag – preferably leather with a long strap (hint, hint). Anything that would be classified as a “classic” and that my daughter would be proud to inherit would be fab! A bag brand to watch, and one that’s certainly qualifies for the criterie above, is Missibaba. Chloe Townsend is making waves with her quirky leather bag designs featuring funky colour combos and unique patterns. I’m loving her latest design collaboration – a range of hand-painted bags entitled ‘I See the Sea and the Sea Sees Me’ which encompasses three limited edition prints designed …  Read More »

Postick Postcard Stickers

Posted on 14th February, by Kathryn Rossiter in Creativity, Design, Fun, Inspiration, Pretty Things. 2 Comments

What is nicer than receiving real post in the post box?? NO, not the avalanche of bills and advertising but REAL letters! The forgotten art of letter writing and postcard posting is making a comeback… and to help it on it’s way Postick have launched a super cute new product – the Postik Postcard Sticker. So what is A Postick? It’s a white adhesive label that you can stick to the back of (almost) anything to turn it into a postcard. It has rounded corners, it’s slightly smaller than your average photograph and it has the normal postcard-backing lines printed …  Read More »

Elie Saab Spring/Summer 2013

Posted on 24th January, by Kathryn Rossiter in Design, Fashion, Inspiration, Pretty Things. 2 Comments

If I ever get invited to a Red Carpet Event there will be no doubt in my mind as to which designer I would turn to – Elie Saab – the Lebanese designer is a firm favourite of mine. I always admire his very pretty, feminine and flattering designs. And a little bit of sparkle is never amiss in fashion!! Yesterday he showcased his Spring/ Summer 2013 couture collection and it was as to be expected – STUNNING! Embroideries and embellishments were the order of the day and the colours included plenty of white, lavender, fuchsia, faded red, gold, grey, …  Read More »
