Reese Reigns

It’s not often you come across an actress with worldwide fame who still sounds like they could be a good friend! Reese Witherspoon must be one of the most likeable actresses in Hollywood. I recently came across two interviews with her which confirmed that she is definitely someone I could spend an afternoon chatting to over a cup of tea! Not only is she incredible beautiful but seems to have a fun sense of humour too. I adore these gorgeous, glam shots of her which accompanied the interview in Glamour magazine. I also really admire her style especially as a …  Read More »

Alexa Chung for Vero Moda

Posted on 13th January, by Kathryn in Celebrities, Fashion, Inspiration. 1 Comment

I’m no hipster or fashionista but I do like to look at, and admire the style of those sorts… Maybe one day when I’m big I’ll be as cool as they are… Or not!?? Anyway I do love a good fashion photo spread and this one featuring Alexa Chung for Vero Moda, a Danish label, is particularly lovely. Alexa has a wonderful way in front of the camera and she is very easy on the eye – obviously both served her well as a model in the past! Nowadays besides being known for her incredible fashion sense she is making …  Read More »

I’m super excited about the new movie version of one of the best novels of the 20th century – The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald – which is currently being filmed. Director Baz Luhrmann’s 2012 version stars Leonardo DiCaprio as Jay Gatsby, Carey Mulligan as Daisy Buchanan and Tobey Maguire as the narrator of the story – Nick Carraway. Other stars appearing in the ensemble cast include Gemma Ward and Isla Fisher. The story is set in Long Island and New York City and takes place in 1922, 4 years before the crash of Wall Street and the start …  Read More »

Love this beautiful photo shoot of stunning teen siblings – Dakota, 17, and Elle, 13, Fanning – for W Magazine by Mario Sorrenti. During the interview, Elle talks about her relationship with Dakota and how she feels now that the star has gone off to college.’She is a nice older sister. But it’s not like we always get along,’ Elle shared about their typical sibling conflicts but says that she missing Dakota now that they no longer live together. ‘Now that she’s going to college, it’s different. Great Kate

Posted on 4th October, by Kathryn in Celeb Mom Style Icons, Celebrities, Inspiration, Magazines. No Comments

Kate Winslet is one of my favourite actresses – she manages to look glamorous on the red carpet while stil being true to herself with regards to her weight. She also always act her heart out (her 5 Oscar nominations are testimony to her talent). She has won almost every award in the film industry including a BAFTA, an Oscar, 2 Golden Globes and an Emmy and she has starred alongside silver-screen heart throbs including Leonardo DiCaprio and Johnny Depp and balances the pressures of Hollywood and motherhood with elegance and ease. Now Kate Winslet takes on her latest role, …  Read More »

Today I am really excited to bring you this interview with celebrity stylist, Anita Patrickson. Anita is a South African currently living and working in Hollywood, Los Angeles where she has been working as a fashion stylist. I asked her to answer some questions about her exciting line of work in the entertainment business… How did you end up as a celebrity stylist in Los Angeles? My celebrity crush – Jon Hamm

Posted on 26th August, by Kathryn in Celebrities, Films, Fun, Inspiration, Photography. No Comments

I recently caught up with the rest of Western Society and watched the first series of “Mad Men“. A great insight into life in the Sixties with great fashion and a flawed but gorgeous leading man, Don Draper played by Jon Hamm! I can’t believe he only found fame so “late” in life – after 30 in Hollywood is unheard of. Last night I watch “The Town” a movie co-written, directed and starring Ben Affleck and in it Jon plays a policeman desperately trying to capture a group of bank robbers in Boston. It’s a worthwhile watch – and not …  Read More »

The Help movie

Posted on 18th August, by Kathryn in Books, Films, Inspiration. 1 Comment

One of my all time favourite books – “The Help” by Kathryn Stockett – has been made into a movie starring Emma Stone as Skeeter and Viola Davis as Aibileen. I am so excited to see this movie, it is such an amazing read about life in America’s Deep South during the Sixties – before America’s Civil Rights movement. The story centres around Skeeter who is returning home from college after a few years away. She finds that having been educated and experienced life outside of Jackson, Mississippi, she no longer seems to have that much in common with her …  Read More »
