From the moment I first discovered Moroccanoil Treatment Oil for Hair I was hooked and have been using this wonder product almost daily for over a year. However, there is not much point in using only 1 fabulous product on your hair and then resorting to a run of the mill shampoo and conditioner… My problem however is that I tend to try and stick with “natural” beauty products with no harmful chemicals which means that my choice for hair care products is quite limited. For some time I’ve been thinking that I need to change the shampoo and conditioner products that I have been using to something less drying to my hair but I wasn’t quite sure where to find another option.
The answer came to me in the form of the new Moroccanoil Shampoo & Conditioner (R210 & R220) that has recently launched in South Africa. I was super excited to discover that the Shampoo & Condition from this fabulous hair care range are Sulfate, Phosphate, Sodium Choloride and Paraben Free which means they can be used on colour & keratin treated hair, are safe for the environment and even safer for me!
The highly concentrated Moroccanoil Shampoo contains 30% active ingredients compared to the industry standard of 10% including an argan oil-infused blend, Vitamin E, avocado oil, silk amino acids, keratin, essential fatty acids, vegetable protein and antioxidant plant extracts, including rosemary, lavender, chamomile and jojoba.
I tried out the Moisture Repair Shampoo & Conditioner and from the first wash I could feel the difference in the texture of my hair – and without applying the Treatment Oil I found my hair to be softer, sleeker, smoother. It felt nourished and strengthened. I even felt more confident leaving the house after my hair wash knowing that my thick, bushy hair was under control and looked good!
The Moisture Repair shampoo is perfect for those whose hair has become weakened and damaged by colour, chemical processing, heat styling or, like mine, dry from the incorrect hair products. The products gently revives and restores the hair’s natural state by bathing it in antioxidant argan oil, reconstructive keratin and fatty acids, leaving it looking and feeling nourished and more manageable.
Both products restore elasticity and moisture and the combination of using the Shampoo & Conditioner have have transformed my dry and damaged hair in just a few washes!
The Shampoo should be used with plenty of water as it is a concentrated, water-loving formula that needs to be activated to a rich lather by the addition of lots of water and then massaged through the hair and scalp. Rinse and squeeze out excess water and then follow up with the Conditioner. Again this is a highly concentrated product so a small amount goes a long way. Apply from root to tip and leave in for 2 mins. Rinse well.
I followed this with another product from the range – the Moroccanoil Intense Hydrating Mask for medium to thick hair. This fab product is perfect for when you need to give your hair a little bit more moisture. I found the extra conditioning treatment wonderful and my hair soaked up the high-performance argan oil formula during the 5 min application. This treatment deeply hydrates, conditions and improves the texture of your hair as well as it’s elasticity, shine and manageability which is especially essential if you do a lot of heat styling. I will certainly be adding this to my hair care routine twice a week!
I highly recommend Moroccanoil hair products and if you haven’t yet tried them you are definitely missing out! The news about these products has not spread so rapidly around the world without having the results to back it up! Word of mouth speaks wonders and they have built up a very positive reputation based on the simple and effective results achieved. Hair is always left looking and feeling healthier after an encounter with Moroccanoil.
With that in mind I have a growing list of Moroccanoil products I am keen to try out including the Frizz Control (anti-frizz/ static), Glimmer Shine (luminous shine & protection), Dry Scalp Treatment (corrects imbalances & relieves dryness) and Luminous Hair Spray (fleixble hold & shine with no residue).
Have you tried the magic that is Moroccanoil? Are you also a convert? If not, which product is at the top of your lust list??
