What I… Lauren from Dearheart Beauty
Lauren from Dearheart Beauty shares some insights into her life with us today in the “What I…” blogger interview series. Lauren is the editor of the beautiful beauty blog called Dear Heart Beauty where she blogs about all things hair, body, make-up, skin and fragrance (and more). She runs great competitions, has a fab Q&A section and does real reviews on products. If you are a beauty fan then head over to Dearheart but first read an interview with Lauren…
Every time you look back on the years of your life you’ll always find a part where you were happier, richer, thinner or more in love than you are today, and yet at the time you never realised or appreciated it. So live today and every day like it’s the best day of your life so that when you look back in 10 years time you’ll know how much you appreciated every single second.
Cruising, champagne, cats and Clarins!
I’m terrible with magazines and barely find the time to enjoy them unless I’m flying or in my derm’s waiting room (she’s popular so I get a LOT of reading done there) and most of the time I find the ‘new’ things in mags are ones I’ve already seen or read about online. I’m happier trawling through my favourite beauty and trend sites where I can have 15 windows open at once and soak up all the info, gossip and new beauty buzz I need to in minutes, while still being on Twitter, painting my nails and listening to something on YouTube.
An endless supply of Coke Light, preferably fed intravenously through my wrist at all times. I don’t smoke or drink coffee or tea, so this is my one crutch in life and I work it hard!
In winter, I practically live in comfy v-neck jerseys, legging and two pairs of flat ankle boots from Woolies’ 2011 winter season, with the occasional motion towards a fab pair of Country Road boots I got for a total bargain (R599 down from R1899) at a sale two years ago. My Prada sunnies are with me always, come rain or shine (also at a bargain R350 from their sale shop in Black River Parkway) and an endless array of floral fragrances adorns my person each day depending on my mood. My favourites are Givenchy Eau Demoiselle, Issey Miyake Noir Absolu (limited edition from 2010) and my signature Narciso Rodriguez for Her. I have a small obsession with white flowers, can you tell?
More time and four more me’s… two to run the website, one to take over the world and another to go back to school and study dermatology, while the real me spends more time with my family, my boyfriend, my friends and going for long, thigh-punishing runs.
Thanks for featuring Lauren! Best of luck with growing your beautiful blog!
