Today’s interview is with Kim from In a State of Luxe. Kim is an interior designer and her blog is a wonderful source of inspiration for all things interior… as well as a bit of travel too! As you can tell from the title she is partial to a bit of luxury in life!
That fortune favours the brave, that you have to be true to yourself no matter what and that Miss K makes the best nougat on earth
My husband and son more than I could ever have imagined, exploring new places, beautiful rooms, meals with friends, wine with friends….I feel very fortunate to love my life as I do
Do blogs and Twitter count? Most of what I read is online and related to interiors and travel, but I do hanker after coffee table books and repeatedly go through the good ones that I manage to acquire. Unfortunately my attention span doesn’t expand to novels or informative books at this stage of my life.
To teach my son that the world is his oyster if he chooses it so and to instill in him a great sense of adventure. To keep on creating comfortable and contemporary spaces that hopefully my clients love for years to come. To eventually have travelled to just about every corner of the earth (best I be creating many-a-wonderful clients’ home in order to fund these travels!)
Depends on the season – for winter I try and buy really good quality items in the sales when am overseas and then use Country Road/Trenery/Hilton Wiener to top up. In the heat of summer a cotton frock from just about anywhere will do. I would describe my style as 50% preppy and 50% boho – usually mixed together.
30 hour days….no, I mean 40 hour days.
