Hair styles for work that “work”
There are times when a little expert advice is needed and when it comes to experimenting with hairstyles this is especially important, even more so when you’re looking for hair styles for work.
Who better than Luna – VO5’s lead stylist – to give that advice. Here she offers hints and tips of how to achieve the latest celeb styles that would work perfectly at the office. From short and sexy, to long and voluminous, the perfect work outfit is never complete unless accompanied by beautifully maintained hair, and having a busy schedule might result in little or no time to style your hair. Luna has some simple tips to achieving some sensational styles….
Your hair says a lot about who you are, and what your personal style is. These days even stoic professionals are rocking glamorous hair styles to the office. So, how can you express yourself with a fabulous hairdo that’s suited for work while still looking good for after work drinks?
Here are some suggestions…
The slicked-back ‘do – Gwen Stefani
This long slicked-back look with smooth glossy finish is achieved by following these steps:
Step 1:.Create a deep side parting with a comb.
Step 2: Apply VO5 Smoothly Does It Straightening Balm to help protect your hair and then flat iron straight, flipping out the ends slightly.
Step 3: Tuck hair – on the same side as your parting – behind the ear and pin.
Step 4: Spray with VO5 Styling Mega Hold Pump Hairspray to tame pesky flyaways and hold your stunning style all day.
Puffed up locks – Emma Stone

The extra volume on top is on trend right now and adds polish and interest to the boring pony tail. Follow these hot tips to achieve this look:
Step 1: After shampooing and conditioning with VO5’s Plump Me Up range, allow your hair to dry naturally or blow dry.
Step 2: Section off a horseshoe shape from temple to temple and add a good dollup of VO5’s Plump Me Up Weightless Mousse to help you achieve some height.
Step 3: Using a fine-toothed comb, lightly “bump” the back section forward to create volume. Smooth away from your face.
Step 4: Brush hair back into a high ponytail and secure with a hair elastic.
Step 5: Use a large curling iron to curl just the ends of the ponytail, now secure your hair with pins. Spritz with VO5’s Miracle Mist to set the look.
The short zig-zag pixie – Mia Wasikowska
If you want a short cut with extra interest try a zigzag parted pixie style.
Step 1: Apply Miracle Concentrate from VO5 and blow dry with a round brush. This will add volume and shine.
Step 2: Use a comb to create a large Z-shaped parting diagonally across the crown of your head.
Step 3: Tuck the hair on the same side as the parting behind the ear and apply a final spritz of VO5’s Give Me Texture Tousled Style spray. Viola! You’re good to go.
What did you think of these stylish, sexy styles? Any one of them would take you from 9 to 5 and beyond with ease! For more information and styling advice visit VO5′s Facebook page.

Emma Stone, looks sexy and not too done up
The celebrity hair style that I most covert is Emma Stone’s puffed up locks! ruweida6@gmail.com
I covet Emma Stone’s Puffed Up Locks…It is simple, natural and doesn’t require too much styling or time (which every woman never has enough off when dressing)…It is also perfect for my hair as it’s fine, and adding volume will work great, giving it the fuller look!
I am a fan of both pages on Facebook already, and I am also following you on Twitter (@Roxi_23)
I really wish to win…This would be the perfect birthday gift for me, as I celebrate my 23rd birthday on the 23rd of February…Got my fingers crossed! :)
I love the Emma Stone – Puffed up Locks, so stunning and yet so relaxed. Could be dressed up with an elegant dress or some casual jeans. Both ways work great :) #Fingerscrossed

I’m LOVING the short zig-zag pixie that Mia Wasikowska is rocking.
Been wanting to go short for a while now and think it would be the perfect “do”, not only for work but also for a mommy who has a 4yr old toddler and a new baby due in March….no fuss at all hair!!!
