Beauty Review: My Fave Benefit beauty products

A beauty brand that gets a lot of buzz is Benefit and I recently decided to find out why…

Gifted with a voucher to use in an online store I opted to spend the total on 4 of the most well-loved Benefit faves to find out what all the fuss is about.

Now you must know that I get plenty of makeup sent my way… but not everything. So many times I’m reviewing products that I’ve purchased myself… this is one such instance!

The products I opted to buy were some of the most iconic Benefit products, include Benetint and Sun Beam. Keep reading below for my thoughts…

First up I must admit that I LOVE their branding. The packaging for each and every product is super fun and really pretty. These are the sorts of products you want to have displayed on your dressing table or bathroom shelf!

1. Benetint Lip & Cheek Stain (R435)

The first product I opted to try was probably the most well-known in the Benefit range…. Benetint. This legendary liquid is a multi-purpose product that can be used as both a lip and a cheek stain. The (naughty) story behind the product is that it was first created for an exotic dancer as a nipple enhancer!!! This product is seriously sexy… I loved the pretty rose-coloured hue it gave to my lips and subtle flush to my cheeks.

This is the product to choose if you don’t want to look like you’re wearing makeup at all… No one will know you’ve had a little help in the colour department! They’ll just think you have a sexy flush all day long.

Best of all, the products doesn’t budge either. No lipstick marks on champagne glasses or white collars! Innocent, yet provocative, I now know why it’s so beloved by celebs, makeup artists and beauty gals around the world.

2. Sun Beam golden bronze complexion highlighter (R365)

Next on my Benefit shopping list was Sun Beam. This is another little bottle of magic! A slick of this gorgeous golden liquid on your cheek bones will leave you with the most beautiful subtle shimmer that makes you look radiant and relaxed, like you’ve just stepped off the beach!

I LOVE this beautiful highlighter that gives a warm, youthful enhancement to my skin. Definitely worth adding to your makeup collection if you’re looking to prolong your sun-kissed natural radiance into winter!

3. Fake Up Hydrating Crease Control Concealer (R335)

A concealer is a makeup bag essential. I don’t go anywhere without mine! And this one from benefit is my new fave. Concealers can be quite dry on application, but not Fake Up! This is a hydrating crease-control concealer that is in face really moisturising and easy to blend.

The formula is really light and the texture feels smooth, silky and soft on my skin. I have a really pale skin tone so I almost always opt for the lightest shade available and this one is 01 Light. (other shades avail are 02 Medium & 03 Deep)

This is a great under-eye concealer and can also be used to hide redness and blemishes. It’s quite an interesting design as the concealer colour is in the middle of a more hydrating balm containing Vitamin E & apple seed extract that then blends together to give you the extra hydration.

4. Air Patrol BB Cream Eyelid Primer (R385)

I’d always wondered how other women got their eyeshadow so perfect, without even a smear or a smudge after long days of wear. And those ones who get the incredible colour payoff? What do they do?? And then I discovered their secret. Eyeshadow primer! I had no idea. So once I knew better, I did better… and added the Air Patrol BB Cream Eyelid Primer to my Benefit shopping basket.

For those not in the know (like me!), eyelid primers extend the wear of your eyeshadow allowing you to enjoy much long-lasting colour that doesn’t crease or smear!

This particular eyelid primer also contains a broad-spectrum SPF 20 with EnviroDefend complex known to help guard your delicate eyelids against sun, smoke and pollutants!

One twist of the tube is all it takes to release the product, initially a pale cream colour, it quickly blends in to the shade of your own skin tone and immediately mattifies the area, leaving it feeling dry and smooth and less oily, which means that your eyeshadow has something to adhere to! And in turn your eyeshadow will look incredible, for longer!

I really enjoyed all 4 of these Benefit products and can recommend each and every one…. tried and tested!

Now, of course, I’m itching to try a few more of their beautiful range! Here’s hoping that it’s soon!!!
