Blogs Bloggers Read: Chereen from For the Beauty of it

Last week I launched a new series for my blog which I have been dreaming about for months…. it’s called Blogs Bloggers Read and the idea behind it is to answer the question I’ve often asked: what blogs do other bloggers read

I’ve asked some of my favourite South African bloggers to share with me their favourite blogs… the local or international ones which they read on a regular basis.

Today I’m thrilled to share with you the second blogger in my NEW series, Chereen from For the beauty of it… who will hopefully broaden our blog reading horizons with her selection below…

What a lovely idea! I have so many blogs that I check in with weekly, after careful consideration, these are my faves…

This was one of the first blogs that I discovered back in 2009, and it inspired me to start my own blog back in 2011. Love her or hate her, there’s no denying that Emily Schuman is a force to be reckoned with; I’m inspired by her beautiful photography, her original ideas, and at everything she’s achieved in her years as a blogger.

Chantelle from Not Another Poppie

I love Chantelle’s refreshing and honest approach to beauty. She tells it as it is, and she really knows what she’s talking about. I always go to her blog to find out about the latest beauty products as they hit the shelves, and her YouTube videos are a guilty pleasure of mine – she is absolutely hilarious! She does the occasional ‘homey’ post as well, like her recent tips for cleaning your house – these have fast become some of my favourite posts to read.

I absolutely adore Tori’s blog. Her posts are original and informative, and her curated posts are absolutely lust-worthy.

Mascara & Mimosas

I first discovered Sarah’s blog a few months ago and immediately fell in love with it. Sarah is a qualified skincare therapist, so she’s really knowledgable on the topic. She’s also expecting her first baby, so I’m currently living vicariously through her and am obsessed with her baby posts!

Dimi from StyleScoop

Dimi is SO talented at what she does! I love poring over her blog posts, and I seriously envy her photography skills. This is the first place I go to get my fashion fix – her outfit posts are absolutely gorgeous and so wearable, and her blog is pure prettiness.

Cheska and Bailey from Kimmy & Bear

This is THE most beautiful parenting blog you will ever come across! Cheska and Bailey, the founders of Kimmy & Bear, are both moms to gorgeous little girls (Bailey has twins!) and they are so incredibly talented! Each and every single post is beautifully curated… I could spend hours on this gorgeous blog!

Thanks for sharing your faves with us Chereen.

I hope you’re enjoying this new series as much as I am! I’m loving discovering new blogs to visit as well as being reminded of ones I used to love and have neglected for a while….

Please do let me know which bloggers you would like to see featured in this series (even if it’s you!) by leaving a comment below or sending me an email at [email protected]. I’d love to feature them…

Kathryn Rossiter

Kathryn is a South African lifestyle blogger and mom of 2 who has been blogging daily for almost 6 years! She writes about travel, health, beauty, fashion, decor and family... but not food (unless it's food she's eaten made by someone else) as she is a hopeless cook. She only wakes up early for 2 things... a red-eye flight to somewhere exotic and early morning game drives. She has just finished an extensive home renovation and would prefer to never see another box again. She's never met a chocolate or glass of bubbles that she didn't like!
