In the interest of being completely honest about my compensation for mentions of brands on Becoming you, as from 1 March 2014 I will state a disclosure level code at the end of each post that mentions a product, service or location, however please note that even if compensated for a mention on my blog I don’t ever have to say anything I don’t want to and therefore only recommend products, services or locations I personally enjoyed using and visiting and those I believe will be of value for my readers. I always insist that despite receiving compensation I am not required to write a positive review and that all opinions expressed on this blog are my own.
If no compensation level is listed, it is to be assumed that there was no compensation involved with the post or any products, services or locations mentioned in the post and that said items or experiences were paid for by the blogger at full price.

Compensation refers to cash, gifts, products or services.
Transportation to and from a local event and food consumed at an event are not regarded as compensation.
If I receive free products of minimal value in a goodie bag at an event that are being given to all attendees, I do not consider these items as compensation and will not necessarily disclose them when talking about a product.
The existing numbers for the compensation levels will never change. However, additional numbers may be added, without notice.
