Recently Just Engage, an online ante natal course provider, hosted a morning for moms (and moms-to-be) to get together – an opportunity for them to indulge and inform themselves as moms at the same time!
The event was hosted in opulent surroundings at Banksia Boutique Hotel and the spread of delicious treats looked amazing. There were also stunning giveaways and a really informative talk by Dr. Bavi Vythilingum. I wasn’t able to attend myself but heard via the grapevine that the talk was well worth watching so I managed to track it down and thought you might also be interested in watching/ hearing it here:
Bavi is a Psychiatrist in private practice and an honorary senior lecturer at UCT. She previously held the position of the head of the Woman’s Mental Health Unit at UCT. She is currently the chairperson of the Post Natal Depression Support Association of South Africa (PNDSA), an organisation that helps mothers who experience depression. You can contact her by email at [email protected].
Bavi’s talk was realistic and full of practical and valuable information, the food was to die for, the goodie bags were jam-packed, the tea was the best I’ve tasted and those chocolates have left me wanting more! The venue was stunning. Thank you Just Engage for your generosity and a refreshing morning.
